Rabiei, currently in Qatar to discuss issues of mutual interests with the senior Qatari officials, attended the inaugural ceremony of a specialized exhibition of the Iranian goods in Doha on Sunday.
Speaking to IRNA on phone, the Iranian minister said increasing trade exchanges with neighboring states as well as establishing joint free trade zones and linking to their transportation networks including railways and re-exporting of goods are among other major concerns of the government of President Hassan Rouhani.
Referring to a visit to Tehran by Qatari Labor Minister Abdullah bin Saleh al-Khalifi in December, 2014, Rabiei said an agreement was signed during the visit for promotion of bilateral cooperation.
He added that during the visit, the two ministers discussed boosting of Tehran-Doha trade exchanges as well as their economic cooperation in the fields of engineering and technical services exports and dispatch of labor force between the two countries.
According to the Iranian minister, holding of the ongoing specialized exhibition of the Iranian goods in Qatar was one of the achievements of the Qatari minister’s visit to Tehran.
Products of over 100 Iranian companies are on display in various fields of building construction, infrastructure, metal and steel, oil and gas, petrochemicals, water and electricity, furniture, agricultural products, foods and technical services.
The exhibition will run by February 19 as a parallel event is being held on the sidelines of the specialized show to display Iranian hand-woven carpets and handicrafts.
