Prosecutors and a defense attorney for Mazen Alotaibi (MAH’-zen ah-loh-TAH’-bee) say it could take all day Thursday to pick jurors for a planned 10 days of testimony.
Alotaibi has pleaded not guilty to nine felonies including kidnapping, sexual assault of a minor and lewdness with a child that could get him life in prison.
Alotaibi told Las Vegas police he spent hours drinking at a strip club before meeting the boy in a hallway at the Circus Circus hotel-casino early Dec. 31.
His lawyer says the boy wanted marijuana and offered to exchange sex for money.
