Turkey, Oman sign MoU for cooperation in various sectors

It was signed at end of the 9th meeting of the Turkish Omani joint Committee that kicked off in Ankara late on Tuesday. 
It was headed by the Turkish Premier Bashir Atalay, and the Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at A’Duqm sate in Oman, Yahya bin Said al-Jabri.
Al-Jabiri said in press remarks that he hopes this signed memorandum would contribute in enhancing ties between the two nations in fields discussed during the meeting.
The bilateral relations between Oman and Turkey greatly developed during the recent years, he said, pointing out that commercial exchange hit more than USD 270 million per year.
He expressed hope for boosting the commercial cooperation to reflect the distinguished level of political and cultural cooperation.
The delegations of both countries discussed, during the meeting, cooperation in the fields of commerce, investments, free zones, small and medium-sized enterprises, industry, defensive industries, banking services, health, tourism, standardization, and quality measurement.
The two sides would meet next year to complete discussing and implementing cooperation plans between the two sides.
The Omani delegation would meet a group of Turkish businessmen, and investors during their visit to Istanbul, on Thursday, and will review available opportunities of investments in the country.
