The report, which was released early this month, showed the UAE tops the Arab countries in the women parliamentary representation. Women in the UAE’s Federal National Council (FNC) represent 22.5 per cent of total number of members of parliament.
It said that women are better represented in the parliaments of Seychelle Islands, Singapore, Costa Rica, Cuba, Argentine, Mexico, Belarus, Lithuania, Australia, New Zealand, Iceland and other countries as compared to the UAE.
