They discussed programmes and activities made by the UN to improve situation in poor countries and the support given by the UAE for humanitarian and relief efforts.
Sheikh Hamdan said the UAE was considered one of the major supporters to efforts aimed at improving conditions of refugees worldwide, thanks to the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces .
