At the meeting which took place at Al-Nakheel Palace in Abu Dhabi, the two sides also exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
Ismael said he and Sheikh Hamdan also discussed humanitarian operations in Sudan by UAE’s Red Crescent Authority (RCA).
Sheikh Hamdan stressed the UAE’s keen interest in and support to peace efforts in Sudan as well as his country’s backing for the Sudanese government’s development efforts.
The Sudanese official hailed the support rendered to his country by the UAE based on directions from President H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"The UAE and Sudan maintain strong brotherly economic, investment and trade ties", he said.
He further hailed the humanitarian operations launched in Sudan by the RCA.
Present at the meeting were RCA’s Secretary General Dr. Ali Al Ka?bi, Sudanese Ambassador to the UAE Ahmed Ja’far Abdul Kareem and other senior officials.
