FNC member Mohammed Abdullah Al Zaabi, who is also a member of the committe wording the final statement, said Iran’s protest against the inclusion of the UAE statement on its three islands of Abu Musa, the Lesser and Greater Tunbs, being occupied by Iran, has failed to stop the filing of the statement in the minutes and other documents of the conference.
Al Ghurair stated in his address to the delegates attending the conference the UAE’s right in claiming the three occupied islands, its acceptance of peaceful solution of the issue through negotiations or arbitration at the International Court of Justice and Iran’s rejection of the two solutions.
