We have to move forward and maintain unified Yemen: President

"Today, we have no choice but to move forward whatever the challenges in order to preserve a unified and democratic nation that ensures for all citizens rights to contribute to the political, economic, social, cultural sectors," the President said in a speech he delivered to the nation on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

He said that the entire people of Yemen has known the safe road and affirmed his adherence to dialogue and political solution. The Yemeni people "will stand up to those who try to impede his just and legitimate aspirations of change and reform," he said.

He warned "those who have not yet understood that the wheel of change has started moving and think they can obstruct the future of the whole people for their selfish interests and illegal ambitions, they will put themselves in the way of popular rage which will wipe out them."

Congratulating the people on the advent of Ramadan, Hadi called for taking the opportunity of the holy month to underpin the virtues of dialogue, overlook mistakes and rally all benevolent efforts to preserve the achievements made so far in all areas.

Yemen is ours, all of us, and our responsible is to maintain its security, stability and unity, the President said.

He urged the official, partisan and independent media outlets to senses their national responsibility and to rationalize their media speech so that the media be a part of the solution, not of the problem, calling on the media men to contribute to succeed the political settlement and to raise the community awareness of the importance of the success of the national dialogue.
