Kuwait has demanded the international community stand with Palestine and work towards ensuring Israel stops its “barbaric aggression against the defenceless people”.
During a speech at the UN’s Special Political and Decolonisation Committee, the first secretary to Kuwait’s UN delegation, Mohammed Suleiman Al-Ruwaished, emphasised how the suffering and living conditions of Palestinians are gradually worsening and that the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza is tragic.
He pointed out that the Gaza Strip suffers from a severe shortage of basic materials in all sectors due to Israel’s aggressive nature.
He called on the UN Security Council to adhere to its legal responsibility to deter Israel through all means necessary to ensure the colonialist state stops its aggression.
He also stressed that the silence towards the injustices Palestinians face is unacceptable.
