Abrahat had been held hostage for almost a year after she was kidnapped by tribal insurgents in Yemen, Al Jazeera television reported yesterday.
The broadcaster showed footage of Abrahat on her arrival aboard a private plane at the Doha airport late on Wednesday.
Her release followed mediation by authorities in Qatar, the report said. “The Qatari mediation delegation worked resolutely and wisely until this good result has been achieved,” said al-Hajiri.
The 35-year-old was taken from her home in the western Yemeni city of Hudaydah in March.
The kidnappers had reportedly demanded the authorities release jailed relatives in exchange for her freedom.
