EU bloc urges Saudi arms embargo

The EU Parliament has urged for an arms embargo on Saudi Arabia. EU lawmakers are pushing all members of the block to follow the example of Germany, Finland and Denmark and impose sanctions restricting their arms exports to the Gulf Kingdom.

The sanctions came after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and the Saudi-led coalition’s military campaign in Yemen which has left thousands of civilians dead.
