Iran Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, said yesterday that Tehran would withdraw from the nuclear talks currently taking place in the Austrian capital, Vienna if it felt that the other parties were not serious about reaching a solution.

“The exact time cannot be predicted for the duration of talks. We will not allow attractional talks. If we feel that the other parties are not serious or intending to buy time or add other issues to the discussions, we will give up the negotiations,” Iranian IRNA news agency quoted Araghchi as saying.

“At the same time, we are not in a hurry, because there are serious issues in the negotiations that need to be considered and discussed,” he said.

The Iranian official noted that the negotiating parties have already reached some understanding regarding the lifting of sanctions related to oil, banking, financial transactions, and petrochemicals, however, he said there are still complex issues related to lifting sanctions from more than 1,500 individuals.”
