The arrests were carried out in coordination with the relevant security bodies in Saudi Arabia.
The authorities said that investigations and continuous observation of these elements, undertaken within the framework of security coordination and cooperation between the two countries, had showed that these elements have imported material, equipment and devices with the intention of carrying out terrorist acts.
The security authorities said that, having become certain of the intention of these elements to harm the security of the country’s citizens and residents, they had taken the necessary measures to detain them and to refer them to the Federal State Security Prosecutor for investigation. They will then be brought before the judicial authorities.
