Thursday’s resolution was the latest political pressure piled on the Qatari authorities, and came on the heels of FIFA president Sepp Blatter describing the situation as ”unacceptable.”

Socialist group president Hannes Swoboda said that ”we cannot allow the 2022 World Cup to be built on slavery.”
