" Iraqi government speaker Ali Al-Dabbag said in a statement that "the cabinet discussed during its regular session today the pending files with the neighboring state of Kuwait."
He affirmed that "the cabinet was keen on developing brotherly relations with its neighbor," noting that "the cabinet expresses its concern over the files remaining unsettled up till now, which is not in the interest of both countries."
Al-Dabbag said that the Iraqi cabinet called for "serious negotiations within the parameters of mutual respect to solve problems created by the defunct Iraqi regime."
