A MEMBER of a billionaire Saudi prince’s entourage got a 10-year sentence Thursday for raping one woman and trying to rape another at The Plaza hotel two years ago.
Mustapha Ouanes, an Algerian construction exec, made a futile play for mercy with the argument his serious heart condition could cost taxpayers $100,000 if he goes to prison.
“The heart thing — really!” the victim said in Manhattan Criminal Court before the sentencing. “(My dad) had a heart condition that is very similar to yours, but he doesn’t ask for special treatment. He waits in line at the VA hospital. I don’t know what makes you think you’re so special.”
According to prosecutors, Ouanes sexually assaulted the 26-year-old bartender after meeting her at a bar and luring her and another female friend back to his room with the promise of an expensive room service breakfast.
Ouanes, 60, claimed the sex was consensual but was convicted of attacking the women after they passed out drunk.
