She claimed that the Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Atiyatallah Al Khalifa, lacked information on awareness programmes and training of medical staff when answering queries about Iran’s nuclear programme.
Dr Ayesha said that the minister never discussed the special ways for dealing with such a crisis and did not mention the quantity of medicine available in the market to combat radiation leakage.
She said that no mention was made regarding the nuclear and radiation leakage measurement centres, when they would be set up and when the equipment would be bought and whether there is a planned time schedule for it.
The minister never mentioned Bahrain’s role in the International Nuclear Power Association.
The minister’s address also did not cover the legal responsibility of the party responsible for the leak and punitive actions to be taken against such parties.
