Saudi Information Minister Abdulaziz Khoja in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said that the Cabinet welcomed the results of the joint meeting between Foreign and Finance Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held in the Saudi capital Riyadh yesterday.
The meeting had condemned recent statements by officials from Iran against the sovereignty of Bahrain and also discussed Gaza relief efforts, he said.
Khoja also expressed gratitude at a good will pact that would solve the Darfur crisis, recently signed under Qatari mediation, between the Sudanese government and Sudan’s Justice and Equality Party.
He hailed the pact regarding it as an important step towards acquiring a comprehensive and fair agreement that would put an end to conflict, aiming to improve the humanitarian state in the province.
On the local scale, the Cabinet adopted measures to increase jobs for women in fields that it deemed suitable, including government bodies, as well as increased training for women to work in Information Technology, libraries, community welfare and prison administration.
