Qatar’s emir and the national security adviser of the UAE discussed bilateral issues and ways to boost ties in a meeting today, Anadolu Agency reports.

Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan called on Qatari ruler Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani in the capital Doha.

“The meeting dealt with reviewing bilateral relations and the means to enhance them in different fields, in addition to discussing a number of issues of joint interest,” read a statement issued by Qatar’s Amiri Diwan.

The UAE official also conveyed greetings on behalf of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

The Qatari emir also expressed his wishes of good health and prosperity for the ruler and people of the UAE, the statement said.

In January, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt restored diplomatic, trade, and travel ties with Qatar, which were cut off in 2017 on accusations of “supporting terrorism,” a charge persistently denied by Doha.
