Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a meeting with his Qatari counterpart, he said that the two countries have always had friendly relations and and Iranian manpower has a record of undertaking technical jobs in the Arab state serving to foster closer ties in social field.
Currently, some 18,000 Iranians are working in Qatar, he said, noting that it was agreed in the meeting to set up a committee for standardizing workforce.
As per the agreements, Iranian companies will make their experience in the fields of construction, producing construction materials and mining available to Qatari experts.
Rabiei further noted that the meeting revealed that the two countries are determined to promote labor ties.
Qatari labor minister reiterated increasing interaction with Iran, he said.
Qatari Labor Minister Abdullah bin Saleh al-Khalifi told reporters, ‘Friendship doors are open to both nations and we can step up our cooperation in various fields.’
