Souad Al Shammari was released after signing a pledge “to reduce her activities”, her daughter Sarah Al Rimaly was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
Al Shammari helped launch the Saudi Liberal Network website with Badawi, who in January was sentenced to 1000 lashes.
Badawi received his first 50 lashes in public in Jeddah on January 9. His subsequent weekly punishment has since been repeatedly postponed on what authorities have said is medical grounds.
There has been widespread international condemnation of the sentence and UN human rights chief Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, a Jordanian, described it as “cruel and inhuman”.
Badawi’s wife Ensaf Haidar says last week her husband was in poor health.
Al Shammari had been arrested in October for insulting Islam after posting comments on Twitter about Islamic religious leaders.
