Al-Tabtabaei is said to have threatened to sue the Al-Seyassah newspaper for what he called ‘fabricating’ the story. Some Twitter users have severely criticized Al-Tabtabaei, calling him as a liar and accused him and his companions of destroying Syria.
Earlier it was reported after a long break, former MP Waleed Al-Tabtabaei posted a very peculiar statement on his Twitter account in which he suggested the government should open an embassy for DAESH in Kuwait because of the supposed presence of DAESH followers in the country. He had reportedly said in his tweet, ‘What’s wrong if Kuwait and other countries worldwide opened embassies for DAESH since they have opened embassies for Bashar Al-Assad’s regime? After all, both have committed the crime of killing their people
