Saudi Arabia, Kuwait back Arab, Gulf joint action: King Abdullah

King Abdullah said his country and Kuwait worked together to enhance the Arab and gulf joint action.
The two countries deal with the developments in the Arab region through a strategic perspective, he told a cabinet session chaired by him in Jeddah.
He also hailed the recent visit to the Saudi Kingdom by Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted Minister of Culture and Information Iyad Madani as saying in a press release after the session.
Saudi Arabia and Pakistan hold a common a stance against the extremist movements which have an erroneous understanding of the tolerant provisions of Islam, according to King Abdullah.
The cabinet asserted that kingdom made strenuous efforts to strengthen the Arab rank and enhance the Arab and Muslim joint action while facing up to attempts to impose political, economic military and intellectual hegemonies on the Arab region, the minister said.
