This came during a meeting between visiting Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in the presence of Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Muallim and Bahraini ambassador to Syria.
A Syrian presidential statement said following the meeting that the discussions touched on the situation in the region particularly in Lebanon and the proposed meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Cairo tomorrow.
The statement added that the Syrian- Bahraini viewpoint was consistent, adding that the two men stressed that the Lebanese crisis and the current events there are an internal matter for the Lebanese.
