He affirmed to Riyadh newspaper in its Thursday edition that he had no information about British press claims that Afghanistan asked for British and Saudi help to kick start negotiations with Taliban, revealing that his government only asked Saudi Arabia for assisting his country’s efforts for security and peace.
Karzai said he was eager to bring peace to Afghanistan which would hopefully bring back more of his countrymen.
Coalition forces in the country are deployed for the sole purpose of fighting terrorism and to help build the new Afghanistan, concluded Karzai.
