The minister said: “On the occasion of the 37th anniversary of the foundation of UAE, the policy which the ministry of interior is adopting is providing the Ministry with better services and helping improve the performance of its employees.”

Shaikh Saif said: “The ministry pursues the principle of transparency in dealing with the media, through the detection of corruption cases and providing information necessary to keep the public informed.”

The achievements of the Ministry of Interior have been included in a report presented by the Abu Dhabi Police on the 37 National Day of the founding of the UAE.

The report said the security sector has many responsibilities, which were aimed at keeping the country safe.

“The Abu Dhabi police has taken up humanitarian initiatives as well like rehabilitating accident victims, he added, “The proceeds from the various auctions go towards financing such projects and centres.”

To upgrade their activities, the Abu Dhabi police has privatised some services and has set up a company called the Sa’ed Traffic Systems (Sa’ed) which helps to look after minor traffic accidents.

The police also monitors illegal construction activities.

This provides relevant information and pictures of the buildings and safety rules.

The new initiatives also look into the residential laws, overall traffic regulations and the movement of foreigners into and within the country.
