According to a press release from the Directorate of Civil Defense, Al-Khaldi discussed with the delegation, which is on a regional tour, various issues on the regional and international arenas as well as measures and precautions to be taken in the event of wars and natural disasters.
Furthermore, the two sides agreed to hold a program for training courses for the preparation and rehabilitation of national Kuwaiti cadres to be able to deal with radiation and nuclear hazards.
As part of the visit, the delegation inspected the Civil Defense Directorate’s Operations Center, where it became acquainted with its strategies, tactics, plans as well as the preventive and training programs.
The delegation also visited the Radiation monitoring equipment of the Civil Defense Directorate and other departments.
At the end of the visit, Al-Khaldi presented to the delegation a certificate of gratitude to the IAEA for its efforts and cooperation with all states in order to enhance their capabilities pertinent to nuclear security and in the field of holding training programs and exchanging of expertise.
