He said the Saudi armed forces continued to purge all Saudi land in the south of the insurgents.
The official categorically denied media reports that the Saudi armed forces were “creeping” their way toward Yemen and said such heinous reports were circulated by parties hostile to both Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
He recalled that the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, the supreme commander, to all military sectors were to clean every inch of Saudi land of infiltrators without touching a single meter of the Yemeni territory.
“Our brethren in Yemen are aware of this. The security and sovereignty of Yemen is an integral part of the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom and other Arab countries,” the official said, asking all media organs to report the truth as it is.
Meanwhile, spokesman of the administration of Mujahideen in Jazan, Khaled Abdullah Ghizaiz, told Arab News that the Mujahideen patrols foiled an attempt on Wednesday to smuggle large quantities of live ammunition into Saudi land via the Jabal Thahran road in Dafa in Al-Daiyr province. He said during an exchange of fire, a number of donkeys carrying loads of ammunition were caught.
He said no one was hurt during fire from the rebel side.
The spokesman said 66,044 bullets of different types were confiscated and turned over to the authorities.
Reports and military sources were unanimous in saying that a number of the leaders of the infiltrators were killed and many others arrested while trying to escape in disguise.
The Saudi fighter jets continued pounding the infiltrators in their fortified locations and strategic positions, which were completely destroyed. The air raids were coupled with artillery shelling and the closure of the sea routes used for escape.
“The Saudi naval forces are in complete control of the Saudi territorial waters,” a source at the Royal Saudi Naval Forces said.
The local authorities, including the passport police and border guards, are in the southern villages and hamlets combing the entire area for illegal immigrants.
