Speaking to Muscat Daily, Mutassim al Zadjali, OTA chairman, said, “It is great news that we will be organising, for the first time, a professional women’s circuit tournament. It would be nice to see our star player Fatma al Nabhani perform in front of her large number of fans at a full-fledged women’s pro event.”
The tournament will conclude a series in the region, said Karim Saadallah, OTA’s technical advisor. “The Oman tournament will be part of a Gulf circuit, beginning in Bahrain with a US$10,000 event on April 2.” A week later, UAE will host the second US$10,000 meet, with Oman hosting the concluding event from April 16
