Abu Dhabi President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered that two police officers — a first lieutenant and first sergeant — who were injured in an operation to arrest drug dealers, be sent abroad for treatment until their condition stabilises.

This was announced during the second visit by Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to inquire about the condition of the two CID officers.

He conveyed to them the greetings of Shaikh Khalifa, who he said was closely following the case.

Shaikh Saif stressed that any criminal act against law enforcement officers will not weaken their courage or determination to carry out their duties to put a stop to individuals that seek to threaten the security of society.
