"We will implement a project called ‘Technical assistance programme in support of Bahraini justice and law enforcement sectors – Training activities on the international protection of human rights," Enrico Padula said.
The project will be implemented by the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Science in Sicily’s Syracuse city, he said.
"Under the programme by the institute and Bahrain’s justice ministry, trainees will have two weeks of study in Syracuse and two more weeks in Geneva, Strasbourg and Rome," Padula said.
"This is a further example of Italy’s involvement and support of international justice and human rights. The project, co-funded by Bahrain and Italy, should start on April 6," he said.
Padula, 49, has a law degree from the University of Salerno, Italy.
