Ahmed Al Jarman, permanent representative of the UAE to the UN, made the plea in a recent speech in New York before the UN Security Council, according to WAM, the state news agency.
The idea of a fact-finding mission has been supported by the Human Rights Council, and Mr Al Jarman demanded that the Security Council also back the proposal.
"The Arab Group is deeply concerned about the continuing inability of the international community to end such violations or the aggressive Israeli measures," Mr Al Jarman said, according to WAM.
He added that the lack of action had encouraged Israel to keep establishing new settlements and expand existing settlements "as part of its policy to consolidate its occupation of the Palestinian lands".
Mr Al Jarman also renewed the UAE’s support for Security Council Resolutions 2042 and 2043, about resolving the violent crisis in Syria.
He reiterated the UAE’s support for resolutions issued recently by the Summit of the League of Arab States in Baghdad.
