They discussed bilateral relations and ways to promote them in all fields. A number of regional and international issues of joint interest were reviewed during the meeting. The talks were attended by members of the delegation accompanying HE Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim.

Later Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim met with the chairman of the Chinese Stake Group, Chang Ming.

They reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them. The Prime Minister attended the signing of an agreement between Qatar Holding and Stake Capital to buy a 20% share of Stake Capital for investment.

They also signed a memorandum of understanding between the two companies on developing real estate and commercial and retail development.

Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim also met with the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), Jiang Jianqing.

Talks dealt with co-operation and investment between the two sides and ways to strengthen them.

The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and the ICBC chairman witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Qatar Holding and the ICBC.

Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim also conferred with Wing Cazionj, the board chairman of China’s Sonic Corporation.

Earlier yesterday, Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim and Jiabao took part in the opening ceremony of the first China International Fair on Trade in Services (CIFTIS), held at the China National Convention Centre.

The CIFTIS is being held under the theme, “Trade in Services: New Vision, New Opportunity and New Development”. It aims at promoting and developing trade in services and is designed to be a comprehensive international service trading platform for trade in services. Businessmen from more than 80 countries are taking part in the CIFTIS.

Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim left Beijing in the evening, wrapping up a two-day working visit.
