The visit comes in line with efforts exerted by the GCC and European Union (EU) countries to bolster bilateral relations aimed at ensuring common interests between the two parties, the Saudi Saudi Press Agency quoted Shoura Council Chairman Abdullah Al-Asheikh as saying.
Al-Asheikh, who also leads the GCC delegation, said the two sides would explore means to expand cooperation on political, economic, social and cultural fields as well as on issues related to the legislative bodies of the two regional groupings.
The GCC delegates will brief their European counterparts on the legislative development in the GCC countries and exchange views on entry visas for GCC citizens for EU countries, he said.
