Ali Al-Dikbasi, the speaker of the Arab parliamentary union, has warned the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) against tampering with the holy Aqsa mosque.
He described the holy site in a press release on Saturday as a red line that should never be target of attacks at the hands of the IOA or its troops.
Commenting on the Israeli occupation forces’ storming of the Aqsa mosque and assaulting worshipers, Dikbasi said that Jerusalem and its Aqsa mosque are under occupation and the occupiers should not do anything to change any of its Arab or Islamic landmarks.
The speaker appealed to the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, UNESCO and ALECSO to intervene and bridle the Israeli attacks on Jerusalem and the Aqsa mosque and to demand a halt to IOA excavations underneath it and in its vicinity, which could lead to the mosque’s destruction.
