The drone which flew in a specified path, was Iranian not Russian and the Hezbollah youth assembled it, Nasrallah said during a televised speech late on October 11.

Nasrallah described the operation, code-named Hussein Ayub, as exceptional and noted that the resistance movement dispatched the advanced reconnaissance drone from the Lebanese soil and through the sea.

The aircraft crossed hundreds of kilometers above the sea and entered the occupied territories from southern Palestine and flew over several Israeli strategic sites without being detected by Israeli Air Force’s radars, he added.

"This is only part of our capabilities," he stressed, adding that Israelis have admitted to their security failure despite being provided with the latest technologies by Western powers."

Hezbollah plans to send more drones over Israel in the future, Nasrallah added, adding that the operation shows the resistance movement is ready to defend Lebanon.

On Sunday, Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi confirmed that the radar-evading drone had been developed by Iran.
