Oman-Yemen relations discussed

His Majesty the Sultan and President Abdrabu held a meeting during which they reviewed ways to enhance bilateral relations and upgrade the level of co-operation in various spheres to serve the joint interests of the peoples of Oman and Yemen.

His Majesty the Sultan and the Yemeni President later held a closed-door session.

Later, His Majesty the Sultan hosted a dinner at Bait al Baraka in honour of President Abdrabu. The dinner was attended by a number of ministers and the delegation accompanying the President.

After the dinner, His Majesty bid farewell to President Abdrabu wishing him a happy stay and a safe return home.

Earlier, the meeting was attended from the Omani side by Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Darwish bin Ismaeel al Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs, Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Abdullah bin Hamad al Badi, Sultanate’s Ambassador to Yemen. On the Yemeni side, the meeting was attended by Abu Bakr Abdullah al Qarbi, Foreign Minister, Dr Mohammed bin Said al Saadi, Minister of Planning and International Co-operation, Sakhr Ahmed Abbas al Wajeeh, Minister of Finance, Dr Ali Mansoor bin Safaa, Secretary-General to the Presidency and Naji al Awadhi, Charge D’Affaires of the Yemeni Embassy in the Sultanate.
