The meeting aimed at coordinating positions where ministers discussed agenda items and recommendations of the executive office of the Information Ministers’ Council, foremost adopting a unified position vis-a-vis countries distorting signals of Arab satellites, Arab code of ethics, Arab media strategy and Bahrain’s request to stop broadcast of the Lebanese Al-Manar TV and Al-Nour Radio.
The executive office also recommended media plans to encourage inter-Arab tourism.
Kuwait is represented by Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah.
