The Arab League affirmed in its statement that Israel was fully responsible in regards to the desecration of Al-Aqsa, saying that the events of today clearly violated the fourth Geneva convention.
The continuous Israeli violations towards Al-Aqsa would only lead to more tension in the region, said the statement, stressing that the Israeli support of Jewish groups who harbor hatred to Al-Aqsa would not result in peace in the region.
Allowing extreme Jewish groups to perform their rituals freely while imposing strict rules against Muslim worshipers was contradictory to Israel claims as being a state for all religion, said the League, adding that building new settlements in the old town clearly indicated that the judaization of Jerusalem is still on going.
