The Director of Police Media at the Ministry of Interior Major Mohamed bin Daina has categorically rejected as baseless, an alleged articles published in Kuwait’s dailies that a Bahraini officer had cheated some Kuwaiti students.
According to the newspapers, including Al Qabas and Al Siyasah, the Bahraini officer was arrested upon his arrival in Kuwait for taking money from Kuwaiti students and registering them in non-existing universities in Egypt.
“We have previously asserted that no officer affiliated to any of the security bodies in Bahrain has been involved in such acts,” Major Mohamed bin Daina said while urging the newspapers to make sure that news are well-sourced and accurate before publishing them.
