Bahrain MPs caution against Israeli blockade

It called on the Arab, Islamic and international community to act quickly and pressurize the Zionists to lift the 10-month "barbarian blockade." Moreover, the Bahraini members of parliament urged the international community to put the squeeze on Israel to set free 34 Palestinian lawmakers, who were arrested and jailed in violation of international laws and legislation and in spite of their parliamentary immunity.

 


Earlier on Tuesday, Bahrain reiterated support for efforts by the Quartet to achieve peace in the Middle East region as Quartet Chief Tony Blair was here on a regional tour to push forward Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.
