Bahraini PM stresses importance of Gulf legislative institutions

Sheikh Khalifa’s comments came during his reception of the Kuwaiti National Assembly delegation headed by the Chairman of the External Affairs Committee Mohammad Al-Saqer, and including Ali Al-Deqbasi, Mubarak Al-Khrainej and Musallam Al-Barrak.

Sheikh Khalifa added continuous bonding of legislative councils is one of the main elements used in strengthening development and brotherly relations among GCC countries.

Sheikh Khalifa highlighted as well the importance of activating the public role which represents the legislative branch which in turn brings positive and effective outcome through legislation.

The Bahraini Prime Minister noted as well GCC’s legislative, Shura and Parliament councils experiences in the region which resembles a great step forward toward joint GCC collaboration.

Sheikh Khalifa also pointed out the depth and strength of overall Kuwaiti-Bahraini ties, including his praise to the Kuwaiti Parliamentary leading role and the purpose of such visits in affirming historical ties and joint future consolatory and progress which the two countries have.

For his part, Al-Saqer praised the Bahraini legislative body experience and what it has in terms of support and cooperation from the Bahraini government.
