The Qatari Duty Force is involved in the UN interim-forces in Lebanon (Unifil).
The Chief of Staff and his accompanying delegation toured the Qatari camp and got acquainted with the latest installations and facilities underway in the site.
Hamad Al Attiyah inaugurated the Qatari Duty Force’s website and was briefed on the accomplishments and tasks the Qatari contingent has performed so far.
In a statement the Chief of Staff highlighted the unlimitted support and directives by the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and by the Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani for safeguarding Lebanon and preserving its territorial integrity.
Al-Attiyah underlined that the presence of the Qatari force in South Lebanon which is operating within the Unifil is for the support of the Lebanese people and their army.
He praised the major effort by the Qatari force to prepare the Qatari camp to cope with the duty entrusted to it.
