Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Hajji affirmed that this matter would be finalized as soon as possible, explaining that all matters would be decided by H.H. the Premier.

Choosing persons to take places of Oil Minister Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah and Communications Minister and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Shireeda Al-Muoushirji, who resigned yesterday, will be done as soon possible, said Al-Hajji.

He lauded the efforts of the two former ministers, wishing them all the best in future endeavors.

As for Saturday’s call by Parliament Speaker Jassem Al-Kharafi for the cabinet to submit its agenda as soon as possible to avoid political escalation, Al-Hajji said the agenda was awaiting the approval of the undersecretaries’ council before submitting it to cabinet, that would in turn refer it to the parliament.

He hoped the agenda would be referred soon and within this month of July.

Regarding tomorrow’s parliamentary sitting, Al-Hajji said the cabinet discussed the agenda of upcoming parliamentary sittings that would take place over three days to discuss budgets of some government organizations for the fiscal year 2007-2008.
