Critical GCC joint ministerial meeting kicks off today in Riyadh

The Kuwaiti delegation to the meeting is to include First Deputy Prime Minister Defence and Interior Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as well as the Deputy Head of the National Security Apparatus Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.

Following the joint meeting, GCC foreign ministers are to hold their 103rd meeting with foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, the Kingdom of Bahrain and Qatar attending.

The two meetings are especially important bearing in mind the latest political and security developments at regional and international levels.

The developments require consultations among GCC member states for the sake of reaching GCC-wide consensus over important local and regional issues.
