Soliyman Awwad was speaking to reporters following a several-hour meeting between Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

The Egyptian-Saudi summit came at a very critical time as the Arab world is undergoing several crises, conflicts and disputes, he said.

During the meeting, both leaders shared the same views on the latest developments of Arab issues, chiefly Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon, Awwad added.

Mubarak met the Saudi king as soon as the latter arrived in Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Sharm El-Sheikh Wednesday evening for a state visit to Egypt.

It is the second meeting between both leaders this year as they met in Riyadh on February 23, when Mubarak was on a tour that took him to Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

The Saudi king has already left Sharm El-Sheikh following a snatch visit to Egypt.
