The Qatari Assistant Foreign Minister Mohammad Al-Rumaihi told reporters after the one-day that they have discussed the mandate and vision of the information ministers which were approved in the higher council 25th session.
The GCC officials also noted that discussion highlighted the GCC secretariat’s memos regarding radio and television bodies.
The preparatory meeting examined also some of the proposals submitted by the GCC secretariat on institutional development in media and information ministries in the six GCC countries, Al-Rumaihi added.
The Qatari official explained that among the recommendations to be submitted to the meeting of information ministers in Doha is on the development of cooperation in the areas of information exchange, training, exchange of expertise and participation in seminars for the development of media work in the GCC countries.
