He was speaking as he received at Safriya Palace Yemeni parliament speaker Yahya Ali Al Rae who conveyed President Ali Abdulla Saleh’s greetings.
King Hamad praised Mr Saleh’s efforts in bolstering co-operation.
He stressed parliaments’ role in promoting just Arab causes on international platforms.
He reviewed bilateral relations and regional developments, stressing the need for peace and security in the Middle East.
He also praised Bahraini parliament’s efforts in consolidating relations with friendly countries.
The Royal Court Minister and parliament chairman Khalifa Al Dhahrani attended.
Later, Mr Al Dhahrani and Shura Council chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh held separate meetings with Mr Al Rae and his delegation and discussed co-operation
