After meeting with Chairman of the Kuwaiti Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Barjas Hmoud Al-Barjas, Al-Baridi said that the visit was aimed at extending cooperation with local human rights societies and institutions here, revealing that IOM has recently opened their office in Kuwait.
He stated that IOM’s delegation would provide consulting services for Kuwait, adding that they would offer their expertise and assistance with regard to the formulation of immigration laws.
The official stressed that IOM would not interfere with the internal affairs of the country, saying that their duty was only to give advice.
Recommendations from KRCS chairman regarding cooperation with IOM was submitted during the meeting, said Al-Baridi.
