Husseini stressed Iran started its investigations immediately after the attack on the Kuwaiti diplomat who was leaving the embassy building yesterday. He added officials on both sides are keen on the close and growing ties between the two nations and that they are not affected by this issue.

This is the first Iranian response over the attack on the Kuwaiti diplomat in Tehran Tuesday.

The Amir of Kuwait His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah had Tuesday ordered the dispatch of an aircraft to Tehran to airlift the concerned diplomat to Kuwait for the required medical care.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Undersecretary Al-Jarallah had in a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait Ali Jannati yesterday requested an immediate written apology over the attack.
